Almighty God,
look kindly on your servant Pope Leo.
You invited him to shepherd Your flock.
Guide and protect him in his daily work.
Inspire him in Your ways to keep Your people uplifted.
Loving God,
assist Pope Leo in spreading your Gospel throughout the world.
Open the hearts and thoughts of all nations and peoples.
May they come to know that, through your promises,
everlasting joy and harmony will follow.
Merciful God,
may the splendour of your Son’s resurrection continue to
illuminate all our lives.
May we strive to become perfect witnesses to your Son’s great sacrifice.
We make this prayer in His name. Amen.
… Almighty God, our light, our destiny …
