Prayer is Love, I want to Love

Jesus Heals Multitudes By The Sea (1)

Jesus’ Life: Chapter 6 – Jesus’ Ministry In Galilee (Part 2)

The news of Jesus’ preaching and his great healing powers spread far beyond the area that he travelled. People wanted to see him, hear him and, of course, those who were sick or disabled wanted to get well.

Seaside with quote: "What is impossible..."

Once, when Jesus heard about some Pharisees plotting against him, He travelled to a place by the sea to be alone, reflect and pray but the crowds followed; their faith in his healing powers and interest in his teachings were so great.

Although Jesus healed all the sick, he asked them, “Not to make Him known”. This was to fulfil the words of the Prophet Isaiah. (Matthew 12:15-21, Mark 3:7-12, Luke 6:17-19)

Thought

Our time is a gift from God; using it to benefit others is a beautiful act of kindness.

Reflection

Lord Jesus, strengthen my faith in You, heal my wounds and bring me to a closer understanding of your calling.

Prayer: Transform Me

O my Divine Saviour, transform me into yourself.
May my hands be the hands of Jesus.
May my tongue be the tongue of Jesus,
Grant that every faculty of my body may serve only to glorify you.
Above all, transform my soul and all its powers,
so that my memory, my will and my affections
may be the memory, the will and the affections of Jesus.
I pray you to destroy in me all that is not you.
Grant that I may live but in you and for you,
and that I may truly say with St. Paul:
“I live, now not I, but Christ lives in me” (Gal 2:20).
