Jesus’ Life: Chapter 6 – Jesus’ Ministry In Galilee (Part 2)
After healing two blind men, a demon-possessed man who could not talk was brought to Jesus. Jesus removed the demon and the man’s speech was immediately restored.
The surrounding crowd was amazed saying, “Never has anything like this been seen in Israel!”
However, the Pharisees said, “By the ruler of demons he casts out demons.” In reply, Jesus said them, by whom do your own people drive them out? Adding, if it is through God that I drive out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matthew 9:32-34, Mark 3:22, Luke 11:14-15)
Thought
Lord Jesus, you are the Light of the World and all the darkness in the world cannot extinguish it.
Reflection
Lord God, grant that we may fulfil your calling to a deeper meaning. May our faith and thanks to you never fail us.
Prayer: Solace
May Christ support us all the day long,
till the shadows lengthen,
and the evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over
and our work is done.
Then in his mercy
may he give us a safe lodging,
and holy rest
and peace at the last. Amen.
