Before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Jewish chief priests and experts in the law were trying to trap Jesus but they didn’t want to do so during the celebration saying, “Not during the feast, so there won’t be a riot among the people”. (Mark 14:1-2)
Thought
Jesus was loved by many so, they wanted to hide from the crowd!
Creating a false image of oneself to save face or avoid embarrassment is also, deceitful and hurtful to others!
Reflection
Lord Jesus, purify my ways.
Lord, hear my prayer.
Prayer: Before A Crucifix
Behold, O Kind and Most Sweet Jesus,
I fall upon my knees in Thy sight,
and with the most fervent desire of my soul,
I pray and beseech Thee
to impress upon my heart
lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity,
with true repentance for my sins,
and a firm desire of amendment.
Whilst with deep affection and grief of soul,
I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate
Thy five most precious wounds,
having before my eyes that which David the prophet spoke,
O Good Jesus: “They have pierced my hands and feet,
they have numbered all my bones”. Amen.
