Extract
Jesus sent seventy-two of his disciples out, “Two by two,” to all the towns and villages he planned to preach in. He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few”. Therefore, “Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest”. (Luke 10:2)
Thought
We are indebted to those who have chosen to serve God as Workers. When Jesus called, they answered, “Yes, I will”.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, pour your blessings on the Priests and Religious throughout the world who serve you today. Grant to them renewed energy to do your Holy Work.
Prayer: Priests and Religious
St Paul, great convert and Apostle,
guide all priests and religious.
Help them realise that their actions
speak louder than any words.
Teach them to use their talents
to convey God’s message
but, to rely above all,
on the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
