Jesus’ claim to be the Messiah greatly challenged the beliefs of the Jewish Law Experts. While they accepted that He was the Son of David, they refused to accept that he was the Son of God. (Mark 12:35)
Thought
For some, it was not until after Jesus’ rejection and suffering, to the point of his last breath on the Cross, that they accepted He was the Son of God. For others, they still don’t!
Reflection
Lord Jesus, we pray for the leaders of all faiths. Open their eyes to accept you as you truly are. May they be inspired to lead all nations to your Kingdom.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
