Herod had John the Baptist arrested because John had repeatedly said, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife. So Herodias, Herod’s wife, nursed a grudge against him and wanted to kill him”. (Mark 6:17-19)
Thought
Herodias’ grudge went so deep that she used her innocent young daughter to have John the Baptist beheaded!

Lord Jesus, steer me to a life of humility and kindness so that I become an instrument of peace in my home and family.
