Extract:
A carefully spoken parable to the listening Jews by our greatest Teacher.
The first son, said, “No”, to his father’s work request in his vineyard but later had a change of heart and did as instructed. The second son said “Yes”, but didn’t do as promised.
The son who said “No” represented people who repent of their sinful ways in life and live the Word of God. In contrast, the son who said “Yes” correlated to those who display religious perfection in public but care nothing for its spirit, divorcing it from their daily actions. (Matthew 21: 28-32)
Thought
Terrible sinners, often become great Saints!
Reflection
Lord Jesus, open my heart to all my false ways so that, my love for you becomes perfect.
Prayer: Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (From Akita Prayer)
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
truly present in the Holy Eucharist,
I consecrate my body and soul
to be entirely one with Your heart,
Receive this humble offering of myself.
Use me as You will for the glory of the Father
and salvation of souls.
Most Holy Mother of God,
never let me be separated from Your Divine Son.
Defend and protect me as Your special child. Amen.
