Prayer is Love, I want to Love

Parable Of The Blind Leading The Blind

Extract

Leadership

Jesus said to his disciples, “Someone who is blind cannot lead another who is blind, can he? Won’t they both fall into a pit”? (Luke 6: 39)

Thought

It is one of the shortest parables in the Gospels yet, one of the most powerful. Who was Jesus referring to?

Probably, Pharisees among the Jewish Leaders. However, we don’t have to look far towards the horizon today, to see many “blind” misleading our own communities!

Reflection

Lord Jesus, strengthen our priests and religious, grant them the courage to challenge those who distract and radicalise others with misleading and false promises.

Prayer: The Lord is My Shepherd
Outline sketch of shepherd with a staff and a lamb

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in pastures green,
He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
