Daily Prayers

Prayer is Love, I want to Love

Our Judgment Day (3)

Extract:

Sketch of Jesus' Crucifixion with St Dismas

To those on God’s left, He will say, “Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels! For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink. I was a stranger and you did not receive me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.” (Matthew 25: 31-46)

Thought

Today, will I see Jesus hungry, thirsty, a stranger, naked or in prison?

Reflection

Lord Jesus Christ, open my eyes to any selfish ways that I overlook today.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, help me to walk the direct path to Jesus your beloved Son.

Prayer: St Dismas – The Good Thief

My Crucified Jesus,
wash me with your most Precious Blood.

Look upon me as the good thief,
who hung on the cross next to You at Calvary.
A sinner, paying for his crimes,
but recognizes your divinity
and begs for mercy and forgiveness
and asks: “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom”

Dear Lord, look upon me like the Good Thief.
And I should be so lucky, full of Peace. Amen.
