A group of Sadducee’s asked Jesus, whose wife would a woman be in heaven if she had multiple husbands while on earth?
Jesus said, “They neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven”. (Mark 12.25)
Thought
St. Augustine commented, “Marriages are on account of children; children on account of succession; succession on account of death. But in heaven, as there is no death, neither is there any marriage”.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, we entrust all families to your care and protection. Guide them and help them to grow in wisdom and grace. May they create a home filled with peace, purity, faith and an everlasting love for You.
