Extract
When Jesus came to Nazareth he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath.
After opening the scroll of the prophet Isaiah, He announced:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed…”. (Luke 4:18)
Thought
Jesus’ message is still “Good News” today but why do so many non-Christians reject it? Some say it because the example of those who say they follow Jesus’ teachings disappoint them!
Reflection
Lord Jesus, may everything that I do today start with your inspiration, continue with your blessing and end with the Angels and Saints in heaven celebrating the achievement.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O Good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds, Lord, hide me
Suffer me, not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
that I may praise Thee with Thy Saints and Angels,
forever and ever. Amen.
