Extract
Before Jesus ascended into heaven he said to his disciples, “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth”. (John 16:12-13a)
Jesus wasn’t planning to leave his disciples alone; he would fill them with the Holy Spirit; Pentecost awaited them!
Thought
Jesus continues to offer his precious gift of the Holy Spirit to us, through the Sacraments. The choice to accept or not is ours!

Prayer: Sweet Jesus
Sweet Jesus, Body and Blood most Holy,
be the delight and pleasure of my soul,
my strength and salvation in all temptations,
my joy and peace in every trial,
my light and guide in every word and deed,
and my final protector in death. Amen.
