When someone in a crowd shouted out to Jesus, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me,” Jesus said to him, “…Watch out and guard yourself from all types of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions”. (Luke 12:15)

Greed is the selfish desire to have more, more and more!
Reflection
Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to do what is right for my family and give me the wisdom to support, where possible, my impoverished brothers and sisters throughout the world.
Prayer: The Poor
Lord Jesus, we pray,
that the flames of your Divine love
may burn away all traces of vice within us,
and that we may be practical and zealous
in the service of the poor. Amen.
