Jesus described himself symbolically as the Good Shepherd. He said, “I tell you the solemn truth, … If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, … I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly”. (John 10:7,9,10)

We are Jesus’ sheep, members of his precious flock.
It has been said if you cannot sleep, stop counting sheep and talk to the Shepherd – Jesus; He will give you rest!
Reflection
Lord Jesus, many have chosen to accept the role of Shepherd in your name. Guide them in their duty to care for the sheep of your flock.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
truly present in the Holy Eucharist,
I consecrate my body and soul
to be entirely one with Your heart,
Receive this humble offering of myself.
Use me as You will for the glory of the Father
