Jesus said to a persistently nagging blind man, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man replied, “Master, let me see again.”
Jesus replied, “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately the blind man regained his sight, celebrated and continued to follow Jesus on his journey out of Jericho. (Mark 10:51-52)
Thought
It’s old advice: Persistence pays; never give up; keep trying.
It worked for Bartimaeus, on Jesus!
Reflection
Lord Jesus, listen to my voice, hear my cries. You alone understand my needs but may Your will be done. Thank You, Jesus.
Prayer: Perseverance (St Alphonsus Liguori)
Our Dear Redeemer,
relying on your promises,
because you are faithful, all-powerful and merciful,
we hope, through the merits of your Passion,
for the forgiveness of our sins,
perseverance until death in your grace;
and at length, we hope, by your mercy,
to see and love you eternally in heaven.
