Extract:
Before ascending to Heaven, Jesus said to his disciples, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled”.
Then he opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it stands written that the Christ would suffer and would rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem”. (Luke 24: 44-47)
Thought
Jesus’ Passion and death had passed, He had atoned for our sins.
Is my repentance genuine and my desire for forgiveness heartfelt?

Saviour Jesus, open my mind to the wonders of your gifts and blessings; bring, ‘peace to my soul’.
Prayer: Miracle Prayer
Lord, Jesus, I come before you, just as I am.
I repent of my sins, forgive me.
I give you my entire self.
I invite you into my life, Jesus.
I accept you as my Lord and Saviour.
Heal me, change me,
strengthen me in body, soul and spirit.
Cover me with your precious blood,
and fill me with your Holy Spirit,
I praise you, Jesus. I thank you, Jesus.
