Jesus said to the Jews, “The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink”. (John 6:54-55)
Thought
Today, Jesus continues to extend that same offer to us through the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, “true food and true drink”.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, since I cannot now physically receive you in the Holy Eucharist, come spiritually into my heart. I love you, Lord Jesus.
Prayer: Renewal
Lord Jesus,
give us humility wherever pride reigns,
pardon wherever offence abides,
grace wherever sin abounds;
we pray to you;
Jesus Christ, risen Lord, have mercy on us. Amen.
