After Jesus appointed his twelve Apostles he went to a house to eat, but once again, a crowd gathered outside to hear him preach and heal their sick. (Mark 3:20)
Thought
Many people followed Jesus but they didn’t always understand his message or change their ways. Indeed, at times his own disciples were slow to learn!
Reflection
We must all stop, amid the bustle of our daily chores, and ask ourselves if our actions are what Jesus told us. If not, why not; what must we change?
Prayer – Abandonment (Charles de Foucauld)
Father, I abandon myself into your hands;
do with me what you will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you;
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me.
I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul:
I offer it to you with all the love of my heart,
for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands without reserve
and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.
