The centurion sent friends to say to Jesus, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not presume to come to you. Instead, say the word, and my servant must be healed”. (Luke 7:6-7)
Jesus, astonished at the centurion’s words said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith!” (Luke 7:10)
In today’s non-stop material world, where time often seems to mean only money, our trust in others can become shallow. I wonder, how many people do I truly trust in my life? Everyone!
Heavenly Father, I place my total trust in You. Strengthen my confidence and love in my brothers and sisters, your children, and enable me to open their hearts to your teachings.
O Most Pure Heart of Mary,
you are full of goodness.
Show us your love.
Let the flame of your heart, O Mary,
descend on all people.
Mary, we love you.
Impress on our hearts, true love,
so that we may long for you.
O Mary, gentle and humble of heart,
remember us in our greatest needs. Amen.
