Jesus walks on water – “When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the lake … [the disciples] straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. He came to them walking on the lake, … they were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them: “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.” Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished”. (Mark 6:47-51)
Thought
Lord Jesus, may we recognise you in everything that we do and say today. Strengthen our faith so that we never doubt your endless support for our work and our actions. Remove our fears and grant us renewed strength. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

What are my fears today? Will I place them in God’s hands?
Prayer: Holy Are Your Ways
Help me to understand, Lord,
that what counts is not the road travelled,
but simply placing my hand in yours
and journeying side by side with you, Lord Jesus.
O you who are the joy of my journey
and the repose in our Father’s home!
Holy, holy is the Lord,
for eternal is your love.
