Response To Jesus’ Work

Extract:

Atomic Bomb Explosion

Jesus said, “When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places looking for rest but not finding any. Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left'”. (Luke 11:24)

Thought

Freeing ourselves from sin is usually only the beginning of a long and difficult journey ahead. The same sinful attractions often remain and with them, daily temptations to return to our old ways!

Prayer is our defence.

Reflection

Lord Jesus, be my shield in times of storms and merciful when I  fail.

Prayer: An Invitation (Dietrich Bonhoeffer)

O God, help me to fully accept your invite,
and concentrate only on you:

I cannot do this alone.
In me there is darkness but with you there is light.
I am lonely but you do not leave me.
I am feeble in heart but with you there is help.
I am restless but with you there is peace.
In me there is bitterness but with you there is patience.
I do not understand your ways but you know mine.
O God, restore me to liberty,
and enable me so to live now
that I may answer before you and before me.

Lord, whatever this day may bring,
may your name be praised forever.

Private Moments

Hymn: You Are My All In All

Almighty Father, thank you for this new day. Bless me and keep me safe.

Lord Jesus Christ, guide me in my work, silence my fears and accept my achievements as a small gift of thanks to You.
